Step-by-step explanation:
Let no. of prizes in 100 sum be x and that of in 25 sum be y .
They we have x + y = 63
where x = 63 - y
And 100x + 25y = 2700
=> 25(4x + y) = 2700
=> 4x + y = 108
=> 4(63 - y) + y = 108
=> 252 - 4y + y = 108
=> 252 - 3y = 108
=> 3(84 - y) = 108
=> 84 - y = 36
=> y = 84 - 36
=> y = 48
Hence x = 63 - 48 = 15
So no. of prizes in the form of 100 sum = 15
No. of prizes in the form of 25 sum = 48 .
Hope this helps you .
