Answer:

₹1000 , ₹800 , ₹600 , ₹400

Step-by-step explanation:

The value of each prize forms an Arithmetic Progression.

Sum of prizes = 2800 ₹

common difference d = -200 ₹

number of prizes n = 4

Sum of terms = (n/2)×(2a + (n-1)d )

2800 = (4/2)×(2a + (4-1)(-200) )

2800 = 2(2a - 600)

1400. = 2a - 600

2a. = 2000

a = 1000

The value of prizes are ₹1000 , ₹800 , ₹600 , ₹400.

Answer:

Let the first prize be x

so other three prizes are x-200,X-400&x-600

so by the condition given in the question

x+x-200+x-400+x-600=2800

4x-1200=2800

4x=4000

x=1000
