Answer:

let the no. of prizes of rs. 25 be x and rs. 100 be 63-x

acc. to Ques

25x+ 100(63-x) = 3000

25x+6300-100x= 3000

6300-75x=3000

6300-3000=75x

x=3300/75

x=22

so,

no. of prizes of rs. 25 is 22 and rs. 100 is (63-22) = 41

Given the sum of prizes money = 3000

➡ Total number of prizes = 63

➡ number of prizes cost = 100x

➡ number of prize of cost = 25

will be 63 - x

From the problem we can write

=> x × 100 (63 - x) 25 = 3000

=> 100x + 1575 - 25x = 3000

(transporting) 1575 on L.H.S to R.S.H

we get

=> 100x - 25x = 3000 - 1575

=> 75x = 1425

=> x = 1425÷ 75

=> x = 19

number of 100 prizes = 19

number of 25 prizes = 63 - 19

➡ answer = 44
