 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Total amount = ₹ 3000

Total prizes = 63

.

Assumed all the 63 prizes are ₹25:

⇒ Total amount = 25 x 63 = ₹1575

.............................................................................................

Find the number of ₹100 prizes:

Difference in amount = ₹3000 - ₹1575 = ₹1425

⇒ Number of ₹100 prize = ₹1425 ÷ (100 - 25) = 19

............................................................................................. .

Find the number of ₹25 prizes

Number of ₹25 prizes = 63 - 19 = 44

..............................................................................................

Answer: There are 44 ₹25 prizes and 19 ₹100 prizes

A sum of Rs 3000 is to be given in form of prizes. If the prizes money is either Rs 100 and Rs 25. Find the number of prizes of each type ?____________________________________________________________________

The total number of prizes = 63

The number of prizes of Rs 100 = x

The number of prizes of Rs 25 = 63 - x

Value of number of prizes of Rs 100 = x ×100

Value of number of prizes of Rs 25 = (63-x) × 25

Total amount = Rs 3000

According to the sum

100x + (63+x) 25 = 3000

100x + 63 × 25 = 3000

75x + 1575 = 3000

75 = 3000 - 1575

x = 1425/75 = 19

x = 19

63 - x

= 63 - 19 = 44

Rs 100 = 19

Rs 25 = 44
