let the no of 25/- prizes be = x
therefore the amount of 25 /- prizes= 25x
therefore the no of 100/- prizes=63-x
that implies that the amount of 100/-prizes= 100(63-x)=6300-100x
according to the question
25x + 6300- 100x=3000
⇒-75x = -3300
⇒75x=3300 (minus signes on the both sides cancel)
⇒x = 44
therefore the no of Rs 25/- prizes=44 (answer)
∴no of Rs100 prizes = 63-44=19 (answer)
