EVALUATION

Let the number of notes of ₹ 10 and ₹ 20 are respectively x and y

Now it is given that the sum of ₹ 400

10x + 20y = 400

⇒ x + 2y = 40

Again the total number of notes is 50

So by the given condition

x + y = 50

Hence the required linear equations are

x + 2y = 40

x + y = 50
