Let the No. of `5 notes be x
So no. of `10 notes r (90-x)
ATQ,
5x+10(90-x)=500
or, 5x+900-10x=500
or, -5x =-400
or, x=80
So no of `5 notes r 80 n no of `10 notes r (90-80=10).
So no. of `10 notes r (90-x)
ATQ,
5x+10(90-x)=500
or, 5x+900-10x=500
or, -5x =-400
or, x=80
So no of `5 notes r 80 n no of `10 notes r (90-80=10).

Hi !
let the no:s of notes of rupees 5 be x and that of rupees 10 be 90 - x [ as their sum is 90 ]
given ,
5x + 10 [ 90 - x ] = 500
5x + 900 - 10x = 500
-5x = -400
x = 400/5
= 80
No: of notes of Rs 5 = 80
No : notes of Rs 10 = 10 [ 90 - x = 90 - 80 = 10 ]
