.

Lets assume you have x notes of ₹ 5 and y notes of ₹ 10. So you have

x+y =90

And 5x+10y=500.

Puting x=10-y in 2nd equation you have

5(90-y)+10y=500.

450–5y+10y=500

5y=500–450

y=50/5=10.

Hence x=90–10=80.

So ans is 80 notes of rs 5 and 10 notes of 10.

Step-by-step explanation:

let number of the 5 rs note is x

and 10 rs note is y

total notes are 90

so,

x + y = 90 ------(1)

total rs is 500

so,

5x + 10y = 500

divide the whole equation with 5, we get,

x + 2y = 100

x = 100 - 2y ----(2)

substituting the value of x in equation 1 we get,

100 - 2y + y = 90

-y = 90 - 100

-y = -10

y =10

now,

x + 10 = 90

x = 90 -10

x= 80

so there are 80 5 rs notes and 10 10rs notes.

hope this will help you.

Thank you.
