\bigstar \underline{\underline{\sf Answer:-}}\\

\\

\bigstar \bf Given:-\\

  • A sum of 500 is in the form of denominations of Rs.5 and 10.
  • Total no of notes = 90.

\\

\bigstar \bf To\ find:-\\

  • No of notes of each type.

\\

\bigstar \bf Solution:-\\

Let, no of Rs.5 notes are 'x'.

Give,Total number of notes = 90

Hence,The no of Rs.10 notes are (90 − x)

\\

According to question,

\\

Total sum of money = Rs 500

=>  5x + 10 (90 − x) = 500

=> 5x + 900 − 10x = 500

=>  − 5x = 500 − 900

=> -5x = −400

=> x = 80

\\

Therefore, there are 80 notes of Rs.5 .

so,

Number of Rs 10 notes = 90 - 80 = 10

Hence there are 10 notes of Rs 10.

Answer:

\huge\rm{Question}

1) A sum of 500 is in the form of denominations of Rs 5 and Rs 10. If the total number of notes is 90, find the number of notes of each type.

\huge\rm{Solution:–}

\rm {\: ❥ \: Let  \: the \: {number \: of \: 5 \: rupees \: note  \: be \:  \: x}} \\ \rm \: ❥ \: 10 \: rupees  \: note \: = \: (90-x)

\rm \: →5x+10(90-x)=500 \\ \rm \: →5x+900-10x=500 \\ \rm \: →-5x=500-900 \\ \rm \: →-5x=-400 \\ \rm \: →x= \frac{-400}{+5}  \\ {\fbox{x = 30}}

Hence no.of 5 rupees note is 80

No of 10 rupees notes = 90-x

= 90-80

= 10

Hence no of 10 rupees notes is 10
