Answer:

Let the number of ₹ 5 notes = x

∴ The number of ₹10 notes = 90-x

Value of ₹ 5 notes= x \times₹5 = ₹ 5x

an the value of ₹10 notes = (90-x)\times₹10 = ₹(900-10x)

∴The total value of all the notes = ₹500

∴5x+(900-10x)=500

⇒5x+900-10x=500

⇒-5x=500-900

⇒-5x=-400

⇒x=\frac{-400}{-5}

⇒x=80

∴ The number of ₹ 5 notes = x = 80 and

The number of ₹ 10 notes = 90-x = 90-80 = 10 .

Given: A sum of 500is in the form of notes of denominations of35 and 10 and the total number of notes is90.

We have to find the number of notes of each type.

We are solving in the following way:

Let the number of 5rupee notes bex, then

The number of 10rupee notes =90-x

\begin{array}{l}=>5 x+10(90-x)=500 \\=>5 x+900-10 x=500\\=>5x-10x=500-900 \\=>5 x=400 \\=>x=80\end{array}

There are 80notes of Rs.5 and

=>(90-80)=10

10notes of Rs.10

Hence, there are 80notes of Rs.5 and 10notes of Rs.10

Note:

The question is wrong it should be:
