According to the question

10x + 20y = 800   and

x + y = 50

therefore x = 50 - y

substituting value of x

10(50-y) + 20y = 800

500 - 10y + 20y = 800

10y = 800 - 500

therefore y = 30

and x = 20

Thus there are 30 notes of 20 rupees and 20 notes of rupees 10.
