Step-by-step explanation:

A sum of 8000 invested in A at S.I at R% per annum and get some interest.

SI = PNR/100

= 8000 *1*R/100

SI = 80R

A = P + SI = 8000+ 80R

he invested total amount received from A in B at S.I for same time period at 10% per annum and received 2080 interest

SI = PNR/100

2080 = (8000+80R) * 1 * 10 / 100

20800 = 8000 + 80R

80R = 20800 - 8000

80R = 12800

R = 160 = 16%
