A sum of money becomes 2240 at the rate of 6% in 2 years and 2600
in 5 years. The sum is
(a) * 1880
2000 (c) 2100 (d) 2400

S.I. for 3 years= 2600-2240= 360

S.I. for 2 years= (360/3)×2= 240

Principal = 2240-240 = 2000

Therefore, option ( b) 2000 is correct
