Let the principal be ₹100
Amount = ₹200
S.I = A - P
= ₹200 - ₹100
= ₹100

R = S.I × 100/ P × T
R = 100×100/ 100 × 8
R = 12.5% p.a.

now, it will triple itself in,
Amount = 300
S.I = A - P
= 300 - 100
= ₹200

T = S.I × 100/P × R
T = 200 × 100 / 100 × 12.5
T = 16 years
