A sum of money invested at 5% per annum amounts to ₹896 in 12/5 years.What will be the amount in 3 years 9 month at the same rate of interest?.......Please help me

Let the principal be x
So atq
X + x*5*12/100*5 = 896₹
X + 12x/100 =896
112x/100=896
X = 896*100/112
X= ₹800

So the principal is ₹800

Now amount in 3 year 9month or 9/4 year at the same rate = ₹800+ 800*5*9/100*4
=₹800+90
=₹890
