So, for three years,

2832−P= P×3×R /100 -- (1)

And, for five years,

3120−P = P×5×R/100 -- (2)

Subtracting eqn 1 from eqn 2, we get

=>288= 2*P*R/100

=>PR=14400

Substituting it in eqn 2, we get

3120−P= 5×14400/100

=>P=Rs 2400
