A sum of money is divided among 3 people , John , Mary and Peter , in the ratio 2:3:7 . If the sum of money is $192. How much will each of them receive?

Let John recieve $2x

Mary recieve $3x

Peter recieve $7x

Total money = 2x + 3x + 7x

$192 = 12x

x = $16

John recieved $32

Mary received $48

Peter recieved $112
