Hey,
Let the sum be x
Sum of ratio=5+2+4+3=14
A's share=5*x/14=5x/14
B's share=2*x/14=2x/14
C's share=4*x/14=4x/14
D's share=3*x/14=3x/14
When C gets Rs.1000 more than D,
4x/14-1000=3x/14
(4x-14000)/14=3x/14
4x-14000=3x (Dividing both sides by 14)
x=14000
The sum is Rs.14000
B's share is 2x/14=Rs.2000
