- Amount = Rs.4491
- Principal = ?
Formula used :-----
- Simple interest = Principal*Rate*Time/100
- Amount = Principal + simple interest
- One year = 12 months
First we find time in years = 2 years + 3 months = 2+(3/12) = 2+(1/4) = 9/4 years .
Now let Principal is = Rs.100
so, interest we get,
SI = 100*11*9/2*100 = 49.5 Rs.
Amount = 100+49.5 = 149.5 Rs.
Given amount = 4491 .
so, Given amount is = 4491/149.5 = 30.04 times of our amount ..
Hence, our principal also is same times ..
Required Principal = 100×30.04 = Rs.3004 (Ans)
