Solution :-

Let us assume that, total sum of money was Rs. 24x .

So,

→ Laxmi received = (1/6) * 24x = Rs. 4x

→ Priya received = (1/8) * 24x = Rs. 3x

then,

→ Rani received = 24x - (4x + 3x) = Rs. 17x

A/q,

→ Rani received - Laxmi received = Rs. 1950

→ 17x - 4x = 1950

→ 13x = 1950

→ x = 150

therefore,

→ Rani received = 17x = 17 * 150 = Rs. 2550

→ Priya received = 3x = 3 * 150 = Rs. 450

Now, let Rani gave Rs. y to priya so that Rani has twice as much as Priya .

then,

→ (2550 - y) = 2(450 + y)

→ 2550 - y = 900 + 2y

→ 2y + y = 2550 - 900

→ 3y = 1650

→ y = Rs. 550 (Ans.)

Hence, Rani should give Rs. 550 to Priya so that Rani has twice as much as Priya .
