\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{GIVEN:-}}}}

  • Principle (P)= 1000 Rs.
  • Rate (R) = 7%.
  • Time (T) = 1 year.

\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{TO:FIND:-}}}}

  • The interest (I).
  • The amount (A).

\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{SOLUTION:-}}}}

We know that Amount:

\sf{\red{I=\dfrac{PRT}{100}}}

Substituting the values:

\sf I=\dfrac{1000 \times 7 \times 1 }{100}

\boxed{\sf{\blue{ I=70 \ Rs.}}}

We know that amount = P+I

Amount = 1000+70

Amount = 1070 Rs.

Question

a sum of rupees thousand is land for one year at the rate of 7% p a find the interest and the amount ?

Solution :-

Given,

  • principal = ₹1000
  • rate per annum = 7%
  • time = 1 year

To find the interest ;

we know that to find interest we have to use the below formula ;

 \bold =  >  \green{ \frac{prt}{100} }

Or

principal x rate X time / 100 .

now putting the value in the formula we get ;

 =  >  \pink{ \frac{1000 \times 7 \times 1}{100} }

 =  >    \pink{ \frac{ \cancel{1000} \times 7 \times 1}{ \cancel{100}} }

 =  >  \pink{ \frac{10 \times 7 \times 1}{1} }

 =  >  \pink{70}

so the interest is 70 .

Now ,

to find the amount we have to use the below formula

 \bold \green{ =  > amount = principal +interest}

now putting the amount in the given formula we get ;

 \red{ =  > a = 1000 + 70}

  =  > \red{a = 1070}

Hence, the amount is ₹1070 and the interest is 70 .
