Hey.

let c gets x.

so, b gets x/4

and a gets 2/3 of x/4=2x/12=x/6

as, x+x/4+ x/6=1360
or, (12x+3x+2x )/12 =1360
or, 17x= 1360×12
so, x = 16320/17=960

so, b's share is 960/4= rs 240.

Thanks.

b's share is rs. 240

Explanation:

It is stated that_

Total sum of money is rs. 1360

a gets 2/3 of b's share

b gets 1/4 c's share

Let, c's share be, 'x'.

∴ b gets rs. (x/4)

∴ a gets rs. (x/4)*(2/3)

= rs. (x/6)

According to the given problem,

x + (x/4) + (x/6) = 1360

⇒ (12x + 3x + 2x)/12 = 1360 [∵ The L.C.M. is 12]

⇒ 17x /12 = 1360

⇒ 17x = 1360*12

⇒ 17x = 16320

⇒ x = 16320/17

⇒ x = 960.

∴ c's share is rs. 960

∴ b's share is rs. (960*1/4)

= rs. 240

∴ a's share is rs.(240*2/3)

= rs. 160
