According to the question,

x + y = 190 ......(I)

&

y = x/2 - 5

put the value of y in eqn (I), we get

x + (x/2 - 5) = 190

=> 3x/2 = 190 + 5

=> 3x/2 = 195

=> x = 195 × 2/3

=> x = 130

from eqn (I),

130 + y = 90

=> y = 60

Hence, x = Rs. 130 & y = Rs.60
