Let the number of prizes worth 100 rupees be x and worth 25 rupees be y.

Given that Total sum = 2700.

100x + 25y = 2700

4x + y = 108    ---------------- (1).

Given that sum is given in the form of 63 prizes.

x + y = 63    ------------- (2)

On solving (1) and (2), we get

4x + y = 108

x + y = 63

------------------

3x = 45

x = 15

Substitute x = 15 in (2), we get

x + y = 63

15 + y = 63

y = 63 - 15

y = 48.

Therefore the number of prizes worth 100 = 15.

The number of prizes worth 25 = 48.

Verification;

15 * 100 + 48 * 25

1500 + 1200

= 2700.
