Let the first cash prize = x

so next 7 cash prizes would be consecutive

that is x+25, x+50, x+75, x+100, x+125, x+150, x+175

Adding all gives x + x+25 + x+50 + x+75 + x+100 + x+125 + x+150 + x+175 = 2700

8x + 700 = 2700

8x = 2000

x = 250

So value of first prize = 250

all consecutive prize will be 250 + 25= 275

250 + 50= 300

250 + 75= 325

250 + 100= 350

250 + 125= 375

250 + 150= 400

250 + 175= 425

Step-by-step explanation:

d = 25

sum of 8 terms = Rs 2700

by using formula

sn=n/2 {2a +(n-1)×d}

s8 = 8/2 {2a + 7 × 25}

2700 = 4 (2a+175)

675 = 2a +175

a = 250

therefore, a=250

term 2= a+d =250+25 =275

term 3 = a+2d =250+ 2×25=300

term 4 = 350
