Answer:

Let the amount invested at 8% pa be x.

The amount invested at 9% pa = Rs.(3600-x)

0.16x +0.27(3600-x) = 741

=>x = 2100

Step-by-step explanation:

2100 is the lager principal and here u go I found it by simultaneous equation

let the first principal be x and second y

therefore

x*8*2+y*9*3/100=741

16x+27y=74100(eq 1)

x+y =3600(eq2)

multiply equation two by 16

therefore 16x+27y=74100

16x+27y=57600(subtract both equations)

u will get 11y=1650

therefore y=1500

as we know x+y=3600

x+1500=3600

then x=3600-1500=2500

as x is greater therefore the answer is 2500

hope u understand these steps

u will understand it if u are taught simultaneous equations
