The total amount is 500. So according to the question:

5x+10(90-x)=500

5x+900–10x=500

-5x=500–900

X=400/5

X=80

Hence, according to our solution:—

Number of 5 rupees note=X that is 80

And number of 10 rupees note=(90-x) that is (90–80)=10
