A sum of Rs 50 is in the denomination of Rs 2 notes and 50 paise coins. If the number of 2 rupee notes is same as the number of 50 paise coins, how many notes of Rs 2 and coins of 50 paise are there?

Let the no of 2 rupee note be x

Then no of 50 paise coin = x

Value of 2 ruppee coin = x × 2 = 2x

Value of 50 paise coin = x × 0.5 = 0.5x

According to question

2x + 0.5x = 50

2.5x = 50

x = 50 / 2.5

x = 500/25

x = 20

Ans : 20 notes of Rs 2 and 20 notes of 50 paisa are there
