Just for mcq type paper when the a:b:c is the share of A,B and C is given along with total amount.
C-B =((c-b)*total amount)/(a+b+c)

so we get a:b:c=4:3:5
and total amount =6000
C-B=((5-3)*6000)/(4+3+5)
       =(2*6000)/12
        =12000/12=1000rs

For written school exam
total amount=4x+3x+5x
                    =12x
x=total amount/12

B's share=3*6000/12
               =1500rs
C's share=5*6000/12
               =2500rs

C-B=2500-1500
      =1000rs
