Total number of notes = 51.

∴ Number of notes of Rs 20 = (51 – x)

Total sum of money = Rs 600

∴ 5x + 20 (51 – x) = 600

⇒ 5x + 1020 – 20x = 800

⇒ -15x = 600 – 1020

⇒ -15x = – 420  

⇒  x = 420 / 15

⇒  x = 28

∴ 51 – x = 51 – 28 = 23
