Given, Total sum = 800
Total Notes of denomination 10 and 20 = 50

Let total notes of rs. 10 is = x
total notes of rs. 20 = (50-x)
Total value of rs 10 notes = 10x
Total value of rs 20 notes = 20(50-x)
Total sum,
10x + 20(50-x) = 800
10x + 1000 - 20x = 800
1000 - 10x = 800
10x = 1000 - 800
10x = 200
x = 200/10 = 20
Total notes of 10 rupees are = 20
Total notes of 20 rupees are (50-20) = 30
10 x 20 = 200
20 x 30 = 600
Total sum = 800

∴ The number of notes of Rs.20 = 50 - x
According to the given condition,
10x + 20 (50-x) = 800
∴ 10x + 1000- 20x=800
∴ -10 x = 800 - 1000
∴ -10 x = -200
∴ x = -200/-10
x= 20
- The number of notes of denomination of Rs.10 = 20
- The number of notes of denomination of Rs.20 = 50- 20
= 30
