The amount would be Rs.1057.95 approx

Given :

Principal (P) = Rs.900

Amount (A) = Rs 950

Time ( T ) = 3 years

To find :

Amount, if the interest was increased by 4%

Solution :

As we know,

S.I = A - P

Hence , S.I = 950-900

= Rs.50

We also know,

S.I = PRT/100

=> 50 = (900×R×3)/100

=> 50 = 2700R/100

=> (50×100)/2700 =R

=> 5000/2700 =R

Hence , R = 1.85% approx

If R was increased by 4%,

R would be = (1.85+4)%

=5.85%

S.I would be = (900×5.85×3)/100

=157.95

Hence, Amount = P + S.I

= 900+157.95

=Rs.1057.95 approx

The amount would be Rs.1057.95 approx
