\textbf{\underline{\underline{Answer :-}}}

The rate of interest is 7%

\textbf{\underline{\underline{Explanation :-}}}

\textsf{\underline{\underline{Given :}}}

The Given Money = Rs.4200 it becomes Rs.5082 in 3 years.

\textsf{\underline{\underline{To find :}}}

The Rate of Interest

\textsf{\underline{\underline{Solution :}}}

Here,

Principal = Rs.4200

Time = 3 years

Amount = Rs.5082

Simple Interest = Amount - Principal

. = 5082 - 4200

Simple Interest = 882

★ We know that :

\boxed{\tt{SI = \frac{Principal \times Rate \times Time}{100}}}

\sf{\implies} \: 882 =  \dfrac{4200 \times 3 \times Rate}{100}

\sf{\implies} \: 882 =  \dfrac{12600\times Rate}{100}

\sf{\implies} \: 882  \times 100= 12600 \times Rate

\sf{\implies} \:Rate =  \dfrac{88200}{12600}

\sf{\implies} \:Rate = 7

\sf{\implies}\red{ \:Rate = 7\%}

\therefore The rate of interest is 7%
