 total no of notes = 90                                                                                             no of 5 rupee notes = x                                                                                          no of 10 rupee notes = 90-x                                                                                  5[x]+10[90-x]=500                                                                                                  5x+900-10x=500                                                                                                 900-5x=500                                                                                                             -5x=500-900                                                                                -5x=-400                                                                                                           x= -400/-5                                                                                                        x = 80                                                                                                                    5 rupee notes = 80                                                                                          10 rupee notes=90-x=90-80=10notes
