let x be the nos. of Rs 5 note

∴ (75-x)be the nos. of Rs 10 note {as total nos of note is 75 given}

∴ Total amount of Rs 5≈Rs (5×x)=5x

∴Total amount of Rs 10=Rs(75-x)×10

According to the problem

5x+(75-x)×10=Rs500 (total amount is Rs 500 given)

∴5x+750-10x=500

∴750-500=10x-5x

∴250=5x

250÷5=x

50=x(nos. of Rs 5 note) Ans

(75-x)=75-50=25(nos. of Rs 10 note) Ans
