Let total no. of 5rs notes be x
Then the total no. of 10rs notes will be(90-x)
Value of 5rs notes=5x
Value of 10rs notes =10(90-x) =900-10x
Now,
5x+900-10x=500
-5x =500-900
=-5x =-400
x= -400÷(-5)
x=80
Therefore Total no. of 5rs notes =80
and total no. of 10rs notes =90-80 =10
Then the total no. of 10rs notes will be(90-x)
Value of 5rs notes=5x
Value of 10rs notes =10(90-x) =900-10x
Now,
5x+900-10x=500
-5x =500-900
=-5x =-400
x= -400÷(-5)
x=80
Therefore Total no. of 5rs notes =80
and total no. of 10rs notes =90-80 =10
