Define x:

Let the number of Rs 10 notes be x

Number of Rs 20 notes = 50 - x

Solve x:

10x + 20(50 - x) = 800

10x + 1000 - 20x = 800

- 10x + 1000 = 800

- 10x = -200

x = 20

Find the number of each note:

Rs 10 = x = 20 pcs

Rs 20 = 50 - x = 50 - 20 = 30 pcs

Answer: There are 20 pieces of Rs 10 and 30 pcs of Rs 20
