A sum when reckoned at 7% per annum amounts to Rs 3920 in 3 years. Find the sun​

All I mean to say is, let's say

I have 100 rupees in my wallet and I lent it to one of my friend at 7.5% for 3 years.

After 3 years when he becomes a rich man, he returns a total sum of 122.5 rupees.

For a better understanding, we can say the above as:

100 rupees ( Principal) + 22.5 rupees (7.5 X 3 years)

= 122.5 rupees

But here as the problem states that after 3 years the amount is 3920 rupees.

So 122.5 unit = 3920 rupees

So 1 in unit = (3920/122.5)

1 unit = 32 rupees

So 100 unit ( which a lent initially to my friend) is equal to

= 100 X 32 = 3200 rupees
