Answer:

1 ) When 10 people liked classical music, number of people surveyed is 100  So, When 1 person liked the classical music, number of people surveyed is (100)/(10)

2) Light music is liked by maximum number of people.

3) Number of CD’s for different music

Semi Classical = 1000 x 20% = 200

Classical = 1000 x 10% = 100

Folk = 1000 x 30% = 300

Light = 1000 x 40% = 400

i) let the people surveyed = x

Classical music = 10% of x

10% of x. = 20

10 × x / 100 = 20

x. = 2000/10

x = 200

ii) light

iii) Total CD's 1000

Light = 40% of 1000

= 40 × 1000 / 100

= 400

Folk = 30% of 1000 = 300

Semi Classical. = 200

Classical. = 100
