A sweet shopkeeper prepares 396 gulab jamuns and 342 ras-gullas.He packs them in containers.Each container consists of either gulab jamuns or ras-gullas but have equal number of peices. Find the number of peices he should put so that number of boxes are least?

Solution:- 342=2x3x3x19 and 396=2x2x3x3x11. We get 2x3x3 as common in both factors, so 18 is highest common factor,Therefore number of pieces to be filled in a pack is 18 for which number of packs will be least.
