Let the speed of swimmer = x

Speed = (speed of swimmer + speed of stream.)

Its speed in down stream = ( x + 2)

Distance cover = ( x + 2) × 2= (2x +4) km

Speed in upstream =(x - 2)

Distance = (x - 2) × 3= (3x - 6)

According to the question the distance is same in both case.

(2x +4)=(3x - 6)

2x - 3x = - 4-6

-1x = - 10

X = 10 km per hour.

Spedf of swimmer = 10km/ hr

Also its speed in still water =10 km / हर.
