the length of swimming pool = 20m

the breadth of swimming pool = 15m

the depth of swimming pool = 4m

lateral surface area = 2lh+2lw+2hw

= 2(20×15)+2(20×15)+2(15×15)

= 600+600+450 = 1650

the cost of cementing the floor = 825×35 = 28,875

HERE'S THE ANSWER..

♠️ It is logical question with mensuration ,

▶️ It is clear that we have to cement only 5 sides , 4 lateral sides and from bottom.. Using this concept our formula become

✔️ Area to be cemented = Total surface area - area of top .

=> Area to be cemented = 2 [ ( L × B ) + ( B × H ) + ( H × L ) ] - [ L × B ]

⏺️L ( length ) = 20 m

⏺️B ( breadth ) = 15 m

⏺️H ( depth or height ) = 4 m

⏺️ Now putting values in formula...

=> Area to be cemented = 2 [ ( 20 × 15 ) + ( 15 × 4 ) + ( 4 × 20 ) ] - [ 20 × 15 ]

=> Area to be cemented = 2 [ ( 300 ) + ( 60 ) + ( 80 ) ] - [ 300 ]

=> Area to be cemented = 2 [ 440 ] - [ 300 ]

=> Area to be cemented = 880 - 300

=> [ Area to be cemented = 580 m^2 ]✔️

▶️ Now cost of cementing is ₹ 35 per metre square , So cost of cementing 560 m^2

=> Cost = 580 × 35

=> [ Cost = ₹ 20,300 ] ✔️✔️

▶️ Cost of cementing will be ₹ 20,300
