Solution :-

given that,

→ Length of swimming pool = 27 m

→ Breadth of swimming pool = 36 m

→ Depth of swimming pool = 3 m and 4 m .

So, the cross section area of swimming pool will be trapezium in shape with depth at both ends as parallel sides and length of the swimming pool as height .

then,

→ Volume = Area of cross section * Breadth

→ Volume = Area of trapezium * Breadth

→ Volume = {(1/2)(sum of parallel sides) * height} * Breadth

→ Volume = {(1/2) * (3 + 4) * 27} * 36

→ Volume = (1/2) * 7 * 27 * 36

→ Volume = 18 * 7 * 27

→ Volume = 3402 m³ .

now,

→ 1m³ = 1000 litres

→ 3402 m³ = 3402 * 1000 = 3402000 litres .

therefore, the capacity of the pool is 3402000 litres .
