A swimming pool can be filled by 5 pumps working for 2 hours each.if one of the pumps is non functional, how much extra time would be required to fill the pool

if one pump is non functioning then 4 pump will fill the tank in 2.5 hours each pump. Because one is not functioning so one pump take 2 hours which is dived by 4 . 2÷4 is 0.5 which is added to other 4 pumps.

1) 2+ 0.5 =2.5

2) 4× 2.5= 10 hours

3) 5( pump )× 2 ( hours each ) = 10

4) tank will be filled in same time
