a swimming pool is 15 m in length 12 metre in breadth 2 metre in depth find the cost of cementing the floor and walls @ rupees 15 per square metre​

  • Length= 15m
  • Breadth= 12m
  • Height= 2m
  • Cost of cementing the walls and floor= 15/m^2

  • Cost of cementing the walls and floor

Since it is given in question that the floor and wall have to be cementing, so we have to find the area of 4 walls and area of floor ,except area of roof.

Area have to be cementing= LSA of walls+Area of floor

=2(l+b)h + b

Where,

  • L = Length
  • B = Breadth
  • H = Height

Now put the values in above formula

 \tt   \large= 2(l + b)h \:  +  \: l \times b

 \tt \large = 2(15 + 12) \times 2  \:  \: + \:  \:  15 \times 12

 \tt \large = 27 \times 4 \:  \:  +  \:  \: 180

 \tt \large = 108 \:  \:  +  \:  \: 180

 \tt \large = {\bold{ \red{ 288 \:  {m}^{2} }}}

Now find the cost of cementing the walls and floor

Cost of cementing 1m^2 the walls and floor= ₹15

So, Cost of cementing 288m^2 the walls and floor= 288×15 = 4320
