a swimming pool is 15 m long 10 m wide and 3 m deapth, find the cost of cementing its floor and wall at the rate of 10 rupees per meter square, also find the capacity of swimming pool in liter.​

length is 15m

width is 10m

depth is 3m

first part is to find the rate of cementing the floor for which we have to find the area of floor which is

length ×width

15×10=150m²

and the rate will be by rupee is 150×10=1500

now, to find the volume or capacity of pool will be

length ×width×depth

15×10×3

150×3

450m³ will be the volume of pool in m³

to find so in litre

450m³× 1000l/m³

450×1000 litre

450×1000 litre4.5×10⁵ litre

  • Length of swimming pool = 15m
  • Width of swimming pool = 10m
  • Height of swimming pool = 3m

»★Area rectangle = l × b

So,

Area of floor = 15 × 10

Area of floor = 150m²

»★Area of four walls = 2( l + b) × h

So,

Area of four walls = 2(15 + 10) × 3

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = 50 × 3

Total Area of swimming pool = 150+150

hence,

Cost of cementing swimming pool is Rs3000

Capacity of swimming pool is 450000 litre.
