a swimming pool is 15 m long 10 m wide and 3 m deapth, find the cost of cementing its floor and wall at the rate of 10 rupees per meter square, also find the capacity of swimming pool in liter.​

Given length of swimming pool =20m

Breadth of swimming pool =15m

Height of swimming pool =4m

Curved surface area of cuboid =2(l+b)h

=2[20+15]×4

=2×35×4

CSA of cuboid (pool)=280m

If cost of painting is =20 Rs/sq. m

then cost of painting four walls of pool =20×280

Cost =5600Rs.

Hence cost of painting four walls of swimming pool is Rs. 5600.

Formula to be used :-

• Area rectangle = l × b

Where,

l = Length

b = Breadth

At first, find the area of four walls.

Area of four walls = 2( l + b) × h

•Area of four walls

= 2(15 + 10) × 3

= 2(25) × 3

= 150m²

Again,

• Area of floor

= l × b

= 15 × 10

= 150m²

Therefore, total area of swimming pool

= 150+150

= 300 m²

Hence,

cost of of cementing

= Total area of swimming pool × Rate

= 300 × 10

⠀= Rs 3000
