perimeter of pool=2(l+b)

2(18+14)

2(38)

= 76

now cost for cementing

=76*12

=912

Answer:-

→ Cost of cementing the floor and the walls of the pool= 6,864 Rs.

Step-by-step explanation:-

To find the area of cementing the floor and the walls of the cuboidal shaped swimming pool, we have to find it's LSA (Lateral surface area) and the BA (Bottom area).

Here we go!

LSA + BA of the cuboid = 2h(l+b) + lb

Therefore,

2 × 5m (18 + 14)m + (18 × 14)m

= 10m (32)m + 252 m

= 320m² + 252m²

= 572m²

Hence, the cost of cementing the floor and the walls of the pool @ of 12 Rs. per m² would be:-

12 Rs × 572 m²

6,864 Rs.
