A swimming pool is 20 m in length,15 m in breadth 4m in depth. Find the cost of cementing its floor and walls at rs 35 per metre square

dimensions of the swimming pool ,( cuboid )

length = l = 20m

breadth= b = 15m

depth = h = 4 m

Area of cementing floor and walls

= area of the floor + area of the four walls

= lb + 4( l + b ) h

= 20 × 15 + 4 [ 20 + 15 ] × 4

= 300 + 560

= 860 square meters.

according to the problem given,

cost of cementing 1 square meter = Rs 35

cost of cementing 860 square meters = ?

cost = 860 × 35

= Rs 30100
