Given:

Length of the swimming pool = 21m

Breadth of the swimming pool = 14m

Depth of the swimming pool = 6m

To Find:

The sum of the area of the four walls and its floor.

Solution:

We know that,

l = Length

b = Breadth

h = Height

Using the formula,

Area of cuboid= 2(lb+bh+hl)

Substituting their values,

a = 2(21 × 14 + 14 × 6 + 6 × 21)

a = 2(294 + 84 + 126)

a = 2(504)

a = 1008 m²

\therefore the sum of the area of the four walls and its floor is 1008 m².

Answer:

Given :-

  • A swimming pool is 21 m long, 14 m wide and 6 m deep.

To Find :-

  • What is the sum of the area of the four walls and its floor.

Formula Used :-

\boxed{\bold{\small{Area\: of\: cuboid\: = 2(lb\: +\: bh\: +\: hl)}}}

where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth
  • h = Height

Solution :-

» Length, breadth and height of the swimming pool is 21, 14x and 6 m respectively.

➢ According to the question by using the formula we get,

⇒ Area = 2(21 × 14 + 14 × 6 + 6 × 21)

⇒ Area = 2(294 + 84 + 126)

Area = 2(504)

Area = 1008 cm²

\therefore The sum of the area of the four walls and its floor is 1008 cm² .
